About Theta Phi Alpha
Gamma Gamma
Theta Phi Alpha is one of 26 sororities recognized in the National Panhellenic Conference.
We are a social sorority. We believe we fit the quote "individually unique, together complete" perfectly, because we all bring something
different to our chapter!

Our Creed
Justice to each fellow man
Wisdom in each deed and plan
Loyalty to every friend
Faith that sorrow can transcend
Truth to God, and truth to self
Honor valued over wealth
This is the creed that in us lies
The creed of loyal Theta Phis.
The white rose for its purity
The sapphire blue for loyalty
The compass for its needle sure
That holds our course firm and secure
The silver for a precious faith
That knows no end, not even death
This is the creed that in us lies
The creed of loyal Theta Phis.
Our Chapter
The Gamma Gamma chapter of Theta Phi Alpha at Kutztown University was founded on May 2, 1998. Since then, our chapter has grown tremendously. Over the years we have won several awards such as Greek Chapter of the Year 2012, Excellence in Philanthropy, and Excellence in Risk Management. Explore our website to find out more about our chapter!
Our Founding
Theta Phi Alpha was founded in 1912 at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, under the guidance of Father Edward D. Kelly. Theta Phi Alpha originally began as a Catholic fraternity because other Greek-lettered sororities on campus wouldn't allow Catholic women to join, but has since opened its doors to women of all faiths. Our Founder's day is August 30th, but it is celebrated on April 30th because the original date does not always fall within the academic year at all universities.
